The parish of Góñar has inaugurated its Church after the conditioning actions carried out by the City Councils of Puerto Lumbreras and Huércal-Overa, in collaboration with the local residents.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Túnez, accompanied by members of her government team.
The improvement tasks consisted of repairs of the roof with replacement of tiles, interior renovations to end the shoring at the entrance, as well as replacement of some doors and windows.
In addition, painting work was carried out to eliminate humidity and embellish the interior and exterior of the Church.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, stressed that "our intention is to improve the services and infrastructure of the district of Góñar so that citizens enjoy quality facilities."
Finally, Tunisia thanked the Huércal-Overa City Council for its collaboration and, especially, the involvement of all the neighbors, who have contributed and have been involved in a disinterested way so that the Church's arrangement becomes a reality. "
