Volunteers from the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of Puerto Lumbreras have put in place a special monitoring device in the parks and gardens of the town.
Specifically, a score of Civil Protection volunteers perform support and collaboration with the Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras in the different green areas of the municipality.
The Department of Public Safety of the City of Puerto Lumbreras has promoted this measure coinciding with the arrival of good weather and the largest influx of children and adults in public parks with the aim of strengthening the safety of Lumbrerenses.
Civil Protection members perform surveillance tasks every day in the afternoon until September.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies service is permanently connected with the Local Police in case the intervention of the agents is necessary.
Among the functions of Civil Protection, it is important to ensure compliance with the Municipal Ordinance on Protection and Tenure of Companion Animals and Parks and Gardens to guarantee respect and good maintenance of these public spaces.
