Cultural associations, sports and non-profit neighborhoods that develop projects or social action activities in Puerto Lumbreras have received subsidies from the City Council for 26,500 euros.
Specifically, sports associations have obtained 21,900 euros, neighborhood associations 2,200 euros and cultural associations 2,400 euros.
All the associations that submitted the application, duly completed, have obtained this aid that will allow them to finance part of the activity programs, as well as general and maintenance expenses.
The Councilor for Economy and Finance, Raquel Rodríguez, stressed "the importance of continuing to collaborate with the clubs and associations of the municipality in the promotion of their activities, since they perform an important work that benefit most of Lumbrerenses" .
In addition, Raquel Rodríguez recalled that "these grants must be added the aid granted through agreements to cultural associations, business, sports, social and tourism with an amount close to 162,000 euros."
Finally, the councilor stressed that "with this measure we want to promote the strengthening of the associative fabric and reaffirm our commitment to associations, which are one of the great riches of the municipality."
