The Autonomous Community will execute in the coming weeks remodeling and refurbishment works on the road from the cemetery to the Rambla de Nogalte in Puerto Lumbreras.
Specifically, the improvement work will focus on the reinforcement and paving of the road surface with asphalt tread, as well as on the specific widening of the road to reach 5 meters.
In the same way, it will proceed to improve the condition of the gutters to favor and channel the evacuation of runoff water.
All this will be done in an estimated area of ​​10,000 square meters from the RM-D16 road in the direction of the Nogalte rambla of Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, has indicated that "the objective of this action is to facilitate access to businesses and farms, as well as to promote communications in rural areas."
It should be noted that, a few months ago, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras requested the Autonomous Community, through the Municipal Plenary and at the proposal of the Government team, the settlement of this road.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries is investing more than 200,000 euros in the last weeks in the execution of improvement actions in several rural roads such as Vera, Abades and Pérez.
Tunisia thanked "the regional government to take into account the needs of Lumbrerenses and allow rural areas are equipped with the best infrastructure so that there is more security and adequate access to farms."
