The Lumbrerense Mari Carmen Romero won the European continental title of the International Women's Boxing Federation against Germany's Bilgenur Aras yesterday, in a fight that took place in the German city of Neu-Isenburg.
In the sixth round, he achieved a KO that was awarded by the continental belt.
Mari Carmen makes history in this way, after being the first Murcia to reach a continental professional boxing title.
He also did overcoming physical setbacks such as a gastroenteritis in the pre-fight, and a rival who had defeated his last three fights by KO.
The Puerto Lumbreras fighter, 33, continues to enlarge her spectacular medal winners, to which in this year 2019 she has already added achievements such as the Muay-Thai World Championship and the Spanish Super Boxing Boxing Championship.
After this European title, Mari Carmen Romero climbs positions in the European ranking and sits among the best boxers on the continent.
