The municipal group of the Popular Party in the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will carry for its debate and approval before the plenary a motion to regulate the use of pyrotechnics in this municipality and the protection of the population and animals affected by its use.
The proposal includes information and awareness campaigns on the negative effects of the indiscriminate use of pyrotechnic material and domestic measures to mitigate the effects described.
In addition, the proposal establishes the regulation of the use of firecrackers on public roads by individuals, as established by the corresponding municipal services.
Similarly, the popular municipal group proposes that the transition from the current pyrotechnic show to new forms of visual spectacle such as silent pyrotechnics or laser light shows be promoted.
The motion refers to the pyrotechnics that uses noise and whose use is linked to the celebration of events of all kinds, such as festivities, cultural events, competitions, etc.
Generally, in the villages, firecrackers are used that cause negative consequences for people with autism spectrum disorder, the elderly, babies, the sick (Alzheimer's, dizziness or other mental illnesses) and especially pets.
