The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras closed a total of 5 public buildings during the month of August: Entrepreneurs' Center, Women's Center, Technical Services, Culture Department and La Estación-Esparragal Library.
Thus, these municipal facilities transfer their services to the main building of the City Hall in which there will be public employees who will inform and assist citizens in the procedures they need to carry out during 08.00h.

In this regard, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that the measure has been taken taking into account that each year during the month of August reduces the number of users who demand services from the City.
In addition, Tunisia stressed that we consider it convenient to centralize a large part of the services in the main building of the City Council with the aim of reducing current costs.
Thus, with this measure will be achieved a saving for the municipal coffers by reducing the costs of light, air conditioning or cleaning, among others.
It should be noted that this initiative is part of the Austerity Plan carried out by the Government team and includes a detailed study of all municipal agencies with the aim of implementing energy saving and efficiency measures.
