It is a sporting day of solidarity that will include a cyclopaseo, march, 6K race, children's races and also offer a solidarity concert.
The income of the inscriptions will go to the Pilar Soubrier College of Lorca for the purchase of a motorized device that will allow students with mobility difficulties, to be able to perform a correct assisted walk.
The Department of Physical Activity and Sports of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with sports associations of the municipality have organized a solidarity sports day scheduled for next Saturday September 2 with the objective of raising funds that will go to the Special Education College Pilar Soubrier de Lorca.
This morning, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, has presented along with Juan Rubén Burrueco, Councilor for Sports, the solidarity initiative "Reto Innowalk Puerto Lumbreras" which includes cyclopaseo, march, 6K race, children's races and solidarity concert.
The presentation was attended by members of the government team, representatives of parents and students of the school and representatives of lumbrerenses sports associations.
Thus, on Saturday, September 2 at 6:00 pm will begin the solidarity day "Reto Innowalk Puerto Lumbreras" with a cyclopaseo that will depart from Pedro Garcia Rubio Avenue to tour the main streets of the city.
In the same place will have the starting point all the tests that will be played throughout that afternoon.
Thus, at 19.00h, sports activities will continue with a solidarity march.
The day will continue at 8 pm with non-competitive children's races for the categories of pacifiers 1, pacifiers 2, pre-benjamín, benjamín, alevín and infantile.
And at 21.00h begin the competitive 6-kilometer race for the categories: cadet, junior, senior, and veterans (A, B, C, D, E and F).
The money collected with the inscriptions will be destined to the purchase of a motorized device that will allow the students of the Pilar Soubrier College of Lorca, with difficulties of movement, to be able to realize a correct attended march.
It is a device that adapts individually to each child and whose cost can not be assumed by the school.
In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras stressed that 'with this sport and leisure day we want to contribute to improving the quality of life of these children and show our support to all of them and their families'.
In addition, Tunisia has continued to explain that 'it is a way to give the opportunity to move children who can not do it on their own and it is worth that we all play our part.
I encourage everyone to participate as the planned tests are so varied that they are intended for people of all ages. '
The registration price will be 3 euros for cyclopaseo, marathon and children's races and 5 euros for participants in the 6k race.
The inscriptions can be made online from Monday, August 7 through Thursday, August 31 through the web www.cronomur.es, or face-to-face at the Puerto Lumbreras Summer Pools from 12.00am to 8.00pm.
To facilitate participation, the Department of Physical Activity and Sports has enabled a telephone information 661 839944 for all people who need to make some inquiry about the tests.
For the same reason, the organization has foreseen that last minute registrations can be made, 60 minutes before each test at the places of departure.
The day of solidarity "Reto Innowalk Puerto Lumbreras" will end with a solidarity concert by the lumbrerenses "Last Eco" that will take place on Avenida Pedro García Rubio from 22.30h.
This project comes from a group of parents of the Special Education School, Pilar Soubrier, along with the team of physiotherapists of the center.
So they wanted to provide an AMPA account number of the school ES19 0487 0060 5690 0053 2049 for anyone who wants to make a donation with the concept: 'CHALLENGE PL + NAME + AGE'.
Finally, it should be noted that this solidarity day is organized together with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, MTB Cabezo de la Jara, Esparragal Sports Association, Runnnig La Sima Trail and AndaYa Hiking Club, in close collaboration with the Nogalte Athletics Club, Association Leisure and Leisure in Nature Silybum, Trilumb Club, Puerto Lumbreras Tennis Club, Basketball Club Lumbreras and Club Deportivo Lumbreras.
