The Tax on Economic Activities (IAE), the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles (IVTM), the Tax on Constructions, Installations and Works (ICIO), and the Tax on Real Property (IBI) will be frozen.
The City Council puts at the disposal of the citizens a Personalized Payment Plan that allows you to divide the amount of your taxes without additional cost.
The government team of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will freeze taxes and municipal taxes for 2018. This was announced today by the mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez.
Specifically, the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) will be frozen and the payment of this tax will be reduced by 95% to the cooperatives and the taxpayers who start the exercise of their activity will be exempt from paying this tax during the two first years.
Another of the frozen taxes is the one applied to Mechanical Traction Vehicles (IVTM).
In addition, the municipal government has established that vehicles with more than 25 years old, tractors, trailers, semi-trailers and farm inspection machinery will not be required to pay this tax.
On the other hand, the Tax on Buildings, Installations and Works (ICIO) has been frozen and reduced, with the aim of encouraging the execution of works that favor accessibility, housing rehabilitation and urban remodeling.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will reward the citizens by 95% the amount of the ICIO of the works licenses that are requested in the Area delimited by the Area of ​​Urban Regeneration and Renewal (ARRU).
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, explained that "since the beginning of the legislature we have made important tax reductions such as reducing the IBI of rustic and urban nature by 25% (and 50% for large families) and now freeze taxes and municipal taxes to make it easier for citizens. "
Tunisia added that "through rigor and efficiency we have achieved a balance between income and expenditure, with a responsible policy in which, without raising taxes, we have been able to offer more and better services to Lumbrerenses".
Also, the municipal taxes related to the opening of establishments and the urban licenses will also be frozen.
In this regard, it should be added that the Government team has set a 50% reduction in the rate of opening of establishments for activities whose owners are young entrepreneurs under 35 years of age or women.
On the other hand, a 50% reduction in urban planning licenses is also contemplated for entrepreneurs under 35 years of age who execute works related to their business, during the first 5 years of activity.
The mayor of the town has stressed that "the City of Puerto Lumbreras has a Personalized Payment Plan that allows citizens to split the amount of their taxes in 12 months"
The Personalized Payment Plan consists in the fractionation of the corresponding receipts for the different municipal taxes that the citizen has to face.
Thus, taxpayers can group all their municipal taxes for the same fiscal year in 12 months at no cost to the citizen.
People wishing to benefit from the Personalized Payment Plan must go to the Tax Office of Puerto Lumbreras (located in Plaza Maestro Fulgencio Romera Asensio).
