About 400 athletes participated this morning in the XXIX Popular Race The Puerto Lumbreras Station, on the occasion of the celebration of the Fiestas in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
The race, which began at 10.30 am, took place in the Lumbrerense district of La Estación-Esparragal departing from the Center for the Third Age.
The participants have traveled different distances, depending on their category, which have ranged from 300 meters for the pre-benjamines and 5,000 meters for veterans, junior, junior, senior and male promises.
In addition, children from 0 to 4 years old have also participated in the category of backpacks with a special route of 100 meters.
All participants in the categories petates, prebenajmines, benjamines and male and female fry have received a medal.
On the other hand, trophies have been awarded to the first three classified in each category.
After the awards ceremony, harts and Christmas baskets were held among the participants.
It should be noted that Mari Carmen Romero and Juan José Guerrero have been the winners in absolute category for men and women, respectively.
Finally, mention that the Sports Association El Esparragal, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Activity and Sports has been responsible for organizing the sports competition.
