The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Equal Opportunities, has organized this morning a day of coexistence among women to commemorate the International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8.
Specifically, the day began at 10.00 am with the departure of buses to the natural place Cabezo de la Jara.
Once there, a manifesto reading was carried out and a motivational conference "Women with power = happy women" was given by coach Juan Cayuela.
Then, attendees were able to choose between different activities such as craft workshops, salsa classes, merengue and bachata.
Around 2:30 pm there will be a stop to eat and later the programming will continue.
At 16.00 a magic show and a musical performance are planned to entertain the afternoon with the more than 200 women attending.
The mayor of the town, who has been present at the day, stressed that "throughout the month of March almost half a hundred cultural activities, sports and leisure, to celebrate the Month of Women in Puerto Lumbreras."
