On the occasion of International Book Day the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Puerto Lumbreras has made, as usual, a comprehensive and careful cultural agenda with which, according to the words of Councilwoman María Victoria Jerez, "we try to reach the highest number of opportunities possible involving different groups and carrying out activities for all tastes ".
In this way, the programming is designed in collaboration with public schools, Day Center for the Elderly, Integral Center for People with Disabilities (CIPED) and organizations such as Cáritas, including also different areas of the municipality such as the Municipal Libraries Network, the different public parks, Municipal Sports Center or the House of the Duendes.
Thus, people of all ages, with special attention to children, may participate in this agenda that will run from April 5 to May 3.
One of the key appointments will be with the author Magdalena Sánchez Blesa.
La lumbrerense, although settled in Alhama, has recognized regional prestige due to her literary career with the publication of different books, as well as her production in the movie "The Adventures of Moriana".
Her visit will aim to meet the adult reading club of the municipality to discuss the book of the month of April, "Nana to sleep my grandparents", which is author.

PROGRAMMING
Before the visit of Blesa to Lumbrerense municipality, a wide cultural agenda programmed by the Department of Culture will begin for all audiences.
The activity in charge of opening it has been reading outdoors for the little ones this past Thursday, April 5 in the park of La Cañada between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
An initiative under the name of "Biblioparque" that will be repeated in the different parks of the municipality on April 12 and 16, and on May 3.

And also for the youngest will take place from April 16 to 18 the "Detectives de biblioteca" and "Lecturas del Quijote para niños" school contest in which 5 th grade students of all public schools of Puerto Lumbreras will participate. It will be held in the libraries of the different participating schools and the Biblioteca Esparragal-La Estación.
On April 19 will be the turn of the elderly, with a visit to the Municipal Public Library of the users of the Center of Day Stays "Agustín Tárraga Ortega" at 11:00 hours.
And in the afternoon, puppets with "The seven kids" at 18:00 in the auditorium of the Cultural Center.
The awards ceremony "Youth and Adult Reader of the year" will take place on April 20 at Casa de los Duendes at 7:00 pm coinciding with the "VI Short Story Marathon for adults" under the title: "Do you dare to read us your favorite short story or a story that left its mark? "
In order to meet the "Children's Reader of the Year", it will be necessary to wait until April 23 at 5:00 p.m., at which time the prize will be presented at the Municipal Public Library.
The reading will also reach the Municipal Sports Center with the literary tennis match "Reading is a sport".

In the VI Short Story Marathon for children on April 23, parents, mothers, grandparents and grandmothers will tell us their favorite story at 5:00 pm at the Municipal Public Library.
An activity enlarged by a special story book day, first in the Municipal Library and, later, at 7:00 p.m., in the Biblioteca Esparragal-La Estación.
From April 23 to 27, campaign "A book for all", in which all those who wish may donate their books to Cáritas in the Municipal Library.
Finally, on April 26, users of the Comprehensive Center for People with Disabilities (CIPED) will visit the Municipal Library.
