The photographic exhibition 'freeborn' of Jose Ramon Garcia lumbrerense opened last night at the tourist and cultural space of the house of the Cure of Puerto Lumbreras.
The exhibition, which pays a posthumous tribute to Jose Ramon Garcia, offers a total of 36 black and white photographs that are taken in this lumbrerense throughout his life.
Thus, the exhibition opened reminding Jose Ramon Garcia, a tribute act involving family, friends and the Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, and members of the Municipal Corporation.
In this sense, the exhibition will remain on display until Oct. 15 and will last from Monday to Sunday from 18.00 to 23.00h.
The exhibition also has another parallel with the photographic exhibition that traces the life and career of Jose Ramon Garcia was born in 1947 in Puerto Lumbreras, and died in 2006.
Since his youth, José Ramón García practiced photography and his love led him to create his own laboratory.
Those who knew him define him as a rounded individual, and his experience made him want to be advanced photographic techniques at the time.
Thus, Jose Ramon Garcia received several awards for his photographic work, among them being the first prize in the National Photography of Granada, obtained for his photograph 'free-born' of the title of the exhibition can be visited in the Casa del Cura.
