Meets the Local Committee for Tourism of Puerto Lumbreras coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day (27/09/2012)

The session works to make tourism drives the economy of the municipality

On the occasion of the celebration of World Tourism Day, the City Council has organized throughout the week an open house at the new Center Ethnographic aimed at primary school children from the four schools of the locality

The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has organized a meeting of the Local Board of Tourism to discuss future projects and initiatives planned to encourage the development of local tourism.

So, the meeting took place during the celebration of World Tourism Day.

In this sense, the Local Committee for Tourism consists of 15 members representing various sectors such as catering, craft, technical and tourism tourism entrepreneurs to discuss measures, projects and initiatives related to tourism in Puerto Lumbreras.

Thus, the Councillor for Tourism and Culture said that "this meeting is a sharing of ideas and an exchange of views between tourism professionals to discuss future projects where we work to make tourism the engine local economy. "

To this end, the City Council an annual program designed tourist and cultural activities in different tourist areas of the municipality as the new Resort Nogalte Medina, the natural landscape of Cabezo de la Jara and other tourist sites as the new Route Water Priest's House or the House of the Elves.

In this sense, the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez, explained that "tourism is one of the big bets with which we intend to encourage economic development and job creation in our town."

After the meeting, the constituent members of the Local Board have visited the Resort Medina Nogalte that make the cave houses and environment Nogalte Castle.

Open house at the new Center Ethnographic
