The distinction, awarded by the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), recognizes the work of lumbrerenses to optimize and improve the quality of services provided in the town businesses.
Councillor for Tourism and Culture has given the distinctive quality tourism in the Integrated System of Integral Quality Spanish Tourist Destinations (SCTE) companies.
Nine companies and establishments in Puerto Lumbreras have been recognized with the distinction of Tourist Quality by the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña) and the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maribel Martinez, has delivered distinctive quality tourism to the following companies and institutions: Restaurant Raiguero (Riscal Hotel), Restaurant Villarejo, Microbrewery "The Cantero" Pastry Sanz, Taxi No 1 Puerto Lumbreras Puerto Lumbreras Local Police, Astronomical Observatory Cabeza de la Jara, Interpretation Centre and Ethnographic Conservation Agriculture Hall of the Casa del Cura.
In this sense, the Councillor for Tourism, Maribel Martinez thanked the efforts made by companies to obtain this quality mark.
He also stressed that "the distinctive work developing our companies to provide quality tourism services is recognized."
Thus, it has become distinctive delivery at 9 companies adhering to the Comprehensive System of Spanish Tourism Quality Destination (SCTE) in Puerto Lumbreras became the ninth Tourist Destination in the Region of Murcia, and the private companies working with management to optimize their travel services.
Councillor explained that "with the participation of Puerto Lumbreras in the project SICTED optimize and improve all tourism services provided in our town to increase the satisfaction of the tourists who visit the town."
Thus, through the project SICTED improved quality of tourist destinations quality criteria of services offered in Puerto Lumbreras through specialized technical advice to all companies directly or indirectly related to the tourism sector are unified.
It also works to improve services through training plans and advice for tourism businesses.
In addition, the project offers many advantages for business and tourist services of the municipality, as improvements in internal management, technical assistance, and increased equipment qualification.
A total of 22 tourism businesses in Puerto Lumbreras already acceded so far to SICTED project and 16 companies have been awarded.
Among the establishments and companies are distinguished: Tourist Office, Cultural Center of the house elves, Riscal Hotel, Bed Aldea La Purisima, Guirrete Celebrations and Events, Travel Mercurio, Las Aguilas del Sol, Restaurant Villarejo, Raiguero Restaurant, Microbrewery " The Cantero "Pastry Sanz, Taxi No 1 Juan José García, Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras, Astronomical Observatory Cabeza de la Jara, Interpretation Center of Nature, Ethnographic Chamber of Agriculture of the House of Healing
