The International Folklore Festival of the group Coros y Danzas Virgen del Rosario of Puerto Lumbreras reaches its third edition with the participation of countries such as Mexico, Senegal and Azerbaijan.
A cultural diversity that brought great color to the streets of the town during the day of Saturday, June 30, bringing their traditions closer to Lumbrerense citizens in an exchange of knowledge.
The day began with a parade from the Plaza de la Constitución through the streets of the urban center to the Plaza de la Iglesia, where the official reception was made by the City Council to the participating groups in a welcome ceremony.
The performances began at the Cultural Center with the host group of the event, which wanted to pay tribute to Angel Rosique, one of its recently deceased members.
Afterwards, the rest of the participants had the opportunity to show their dances and typical music from the areas where they come from.
In the case of Mexico, the folkloric ballet 'Gustavo Vaquera Contreras' from Zacatecas (United States Mejicanos) made its exhibition with its body of dance and music composed of 60 members.
The Jammu ballet from Senegal, coming from the Dakar, showed their choreographies with young musicians and dancers from all ethnic groups of Senegal, in which they mixed tradition and contemporary elements based on the rhythm of the Mbalax drum.
Finally, the dance ensemble of 'Ganjlik' showed the particularities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a place that has a historical and very old cultural heritage.
