Puerto Lumbreras counts today with a new school, Lideria International School.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, and her government team were present last night at the opening ceremony of the first phase of the school.
The first phase of construction has provided the necessary infrastructure to house Infant Education and the urbanization of the plot in which the educational complex is located.
It is a bilingual education center that incorporates the latest pedagogical and methodological trends for learning the English language.
It has an integral development plan for its students through a training in values, the practice of sports, a scientific-technological profile and the development of their emotional intelligence that prepares them to face the future.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras stressed that "with this new center will expand the educational offer and increase the number of seats."
In addition, Tunisia added that "the project responds to an important demand that exists in the municipality for this type of educational centers".
Lideria International School offers an advanced bilingual education that applies the Jolly Phonics methodology for children of younger ages, and the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) model, which is the most efficient way to develop foreign language learning at the same time that other subjects are studied.
It also promotes the use of new technologies (computer rooms) at all levels and areas;
creativity and artistic sensitivity with musical learning through recognized avant-garde technologies;
the debate and dialogue for the development of their emotional intelligence, as well as the practice of sports and values ​​in a comprehensive training project.
The mayor said that "with this new school parents have the possibility to decide what kind of education they want for their children, we will continue defending public education, but, above all, we will defend the freedom of choice of center of families ".
