"Love me free and without fear" is the message chosen by the Council of Equality of the City of Puerto Lumbreras to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
A date that is celebrated on November 25 and for which a broad agenda of activities has been developed.
On Sunday, the institutional public event that began at 10:00 am with a rally at the Women's Center took place.
T-shirts and banners have been distributed there to start the Solidarity March that ended at the Pasarela (Rambla de Nogalte).
Once finished, the manifest was read, a minute of silence was saved, and balloons were released.
In addition, the winners of the contest for protest drawing and rejection against gender violence organized by the Association of Women Friends without Borders at the IES Rambla de Nogalte, were presented with the corresponding prizes.
Another activity held among this young group of students has been a human bond and flash movie.
It should be noted that throughout the week, talks have been organized for the students of the institute on 'Healthy Relationships' by the PAE psychologist of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Jesús García.
In addition, different workshops have been developed in the locality, such as personal defense taught by the world champion of Kick Bocking and Professional Boxing, the Lumbrerense M. Carmen Romero, with the participation of Local Police, as well as other laughter therapy workshops , Kundalini Yoga or Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga.
