A fortnight of Lumbrerenses entrepreneurs and businesswomen have started this week the GIRA Mujeres Coca-Cola that has arrived for the second consecutive year to the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.

The objective of this initiative is to personally and professionally train women who want to enter the labor market or who wish to start up a business idea related to the food and beverage sector.

For this, GIRA Women proposes three itineraries adapted to the different objectives of the participants: to undertake without an idea of developed business or with a little advanced (Journey to entrepreneurship);

undertake with an already defined business idea (GIRA Mujeres Weekend);

or used (employability or insertion program for others).

The GIRA started yesterday with the workshop "Find your route" in the Cultural and Creative Enterprises Nursery 'Ceilum'.

The Councilor for Employment and Commerce, Angela Morillas, explained that "this workshop has two sessions of five hours and then the students can access an online training that will allow them to mature their business idea."

Morillas stressed that "this type of action is aimed at boosting the economic autonomy of women, improving their employability and supporting women's entrepreneurship".

The project "GIRA Women" is divided into three phases: The first stage is called "Find your route", a face-to-face phase of 10 hours of training in which the projects will take their first steps, either for something completely new or to reinvent an existing business.

The next phase, "Start your trip", complements the first stage with 30 hours of online training in which the business idea will be developed more concretely.

And the last stage, "We accompany you" in which will be chosen from among all the projects, the 10 ideas that will have access to receive incubation and mentoring services.

Among them, the three most innovative projects will receive six more months of mentoring, and a support capital worth 3,000 euros for each winning project.

The Coca-Cola project, organized by Alma Natura, has the collaboration of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, the regional government and the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia.
