The Equine Cattle Fair returns to Puerto Lumbreras (01/05/2019)

Once again, the Equine Cattle Fair returns to the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.

Specifically, the appointment will be on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May at the premises of the Regional Cattle Market.

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías of the City of Puerto Lumbreras is scheduled to meet about fifty heads of equine livestock.

It is one of the oldest livestock fairs in Spain, popularly known as 'Feria Grande' and is devoted to horses in a monographic way.

The event will feature horses, donkeys and mules, among other examples, which will be exhibited in the 20,000 square meters of the facilities of the Lumbrerense Local Market, hosting Spanish purebred horses from the Andalusian city.

The fair will include for the second consecutive year an exhibition of machinery and agricultural implements in which local companies will participate that will show the latest developments in the sector.

Those interested in attending the fair can do so throughout the weekend in uninterrupted hours from 08.00 to 20.00.

The councilor of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías, José María Parra, has encouraged citizens to visit the fair and stressed that "besides being able to contemplate animals, the event is configured as an excellent commercial opportunity to acquire or sell copies "

In order to favor the participation of a greater number of breeders coming from different points of the Spanish geography, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras maintains the elimination of some of the rates carried out in previous editions, such as the entry of animal transport vehicles or cattle heads. .
