From the PSOE they point out that the lack of means of the opposition tries to silence them and to make difficult their work, situation that repeats several legislatures.
Article 27 of the ROF establishes that political groups will have an office and material and personal means, to the extent possible of the City Council, to receive and serve citizens.
So far, the PSOE has not enjoyed this right and so will be the next term, despite having obtained support as important as the Popular Party, remember that only 40 votes separate the two political forces.
In this sense, the current spokesperson of the socialist party, María Rosa García, believes that this decision reflects the sectarian attitude of the government of María Ángeles Tunisia and the little respect for the law, towards the 7 councilors of the PSOE and, what is worse, to the 2,973 Lumbrerenses to whom this formation represents.
This attitude of contempt is intolerable on the part of those who represent the entire municipality.
The government team has not been able to justify this measure, according to which basic conditions are not established so that the socialist group can perform its functions as necessary.
Said decision can not be justified by the saving for the Lumbrerenses coffers because, despite reducing its representation in two councilors, the Popular Party has gone from 4 releases and 1 half release in the legislature 2015-1019 to 5 full releases for the legislature 2019-2023, with a gross annual remuneration of € 33,329.98 for the councilors and € 39,917.22 for the councilor.
What, in total, supposes a considerable increase of the cost in this concept for the lumbrerenses citizens.
In the first plenary session of the present legislature, the mayor appealed to dialogue, consensus and loyalty, that of what she shows but fails to comply from the moment in which she tries to ignore the opposition, since she has even diverted attention from all each of the times that the spokesperson has asked that they take into account the working hours so that the councilors can attend the ordinary and extraordinary plenary sessions, as well as the informative commissions, points that were reflected in the agenda.
For all these reasons, PSOE understands that whoever asks for loyalty should start by setting an example instead of trying to suffocate and make the opposition invisible.
However, according to María Rosa García: "Despite the contempt and disregard of the government team towards the seven socialist councilors, we commit ourselves to work with total dedication, enthusiasm and enthusiasm to improve our municipality and the quality of life of the lumbrerenses ".
