This project was a commitment of the government team and will undoubtedly represent a great benefit for athletes and sports fans. athletics, at the same time that it will make Puerto Lumbreras a model of city whose infrastructures continue to be referents in sports. "

For his part, the Councilor for Sports;

Juan Rubén Burrueco, said that "this facility will have an estimated total area of ​​3,614 square meters and will serve both for short runs such as fences, height jumps, length and pole."

In this way, the works contemplate the asphalting of the entire enclosure, already completed, and the placement of synthetic pavement on the asphalt.

The track will feature a four-lane ring, a six-lane 120-meter straight line, a long and triple-jump corridor with a fall pit.

Similarly, the improvement project includes provision of sports equipment for athletics.

In this sense, a whipping board will be placed for jumps;

a pole box;

a competition starting block;

a cage for throwing weight, disc and hammer;

regulatory fence of four meters;

pole drop zone;

pole made of fiberglass;

counterbalanced fences;
