During the mornings of the whole month of July and the first half of August dozens of young people from Lumbrerea learn while having fun on the campus of outdoor activities 'I Love Campus'.
An initiative that reaches its sixth edition and places its epicenter of performance in the facilities of the Sagrado Corazón public school, as well as in the summer pools, where water activities are carried out.
107 students to date enjoy this summer school.

The peculiarity of this school is that it focuses its activities on direct contact with nature, emphasizing in this edition the concept "ecofriendly": respect for the environment, recycling and reduction of plastics are some of the values ​​that are trying to instill .
For this, the students have received talks from the Mobile Ecopark, have carried out garbage collection activities, including as a novelty in this new edition agricultural activities and crafts with recycled bottles to give it a second use as pots, where they have planted peppers or lettuce.
In addition, they have carried out bread-making workshops, visits to "the Eagles of the Sun" as an animal awareness activity, and two nights camping in a day of living together sleeping in the surroundings of the Cabezo de la Jara shelter.
Last Friday the students had a position of Adica (Association of People with Disabilities) in the weekly market, where with a solidary objective of raising funds for the association they sold utensils manufactured by them with recycled materials.
The Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, highlights the important work of 'I Love Campus' to "transmit values ​​such as reducing the impact of man on nature, and raising awareness among young people about the three famous" R ": reduce, recycle , reuse, in addition to promoting creativity and solidarity. 'I Love Campus' is one of several Summer Schools offered this year in Puerto Lumbreras and whose objective is to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life in the locality.
