The municipal swimming pools end the 2019 season with a large increase in users compared to the previous year (29/08/2019)

The Puerto Lumbreras municipal swimming pools will close the 2019 season next Sunday, September 1, at the usual time from 12:00 to 20:00 hours.

A campaign that has had greater influx compared to 2018, since this summer they have sold about 500 more tickets for adults and about 330 more for children.

According to the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, "it should be noted that this year the areas of shade in the pool have increased, due to the installation of numerous tents, and that the" Young Tuesdays "have been a success in terms of influx, with the collaboration of numerous activities that have been very pleasing to those present. "

An initiative that allowed bathing and free access to the facilities from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and which included activities such as the synchronized swimming exhibition, the Cardio Boxing Masterclass in charge of the National Boxing Champion and Muay Thai World Champion this year;

the Lumbrerense Mari Carmen Romero, the "Magic Night" with Pedro Lucas, the performance of different local DJs or the "Battle of Roosters" rap.

During the second half of June, the mixed sports campus, the Day Center and the Synchronized Swimming Club were able to use the municipal swimming pools, which finished their training and the season with the synchronized swimming competition also held in the pool municipal.

Also local sports associations such as the Puerto Lumbreras Tennis Club and the Nogalte Athletics Club, celebrated the end of the season at these facilities, as well as the children of the summer schools, with numerous participants in all of them.

In the months of July and August, the courses of infant swimming, therapeutic swimming and Aquasalud took place, with great influx with respect to last year, with almost 360 users.

Also, as usual, the Down Association of Lorca visited the municipal swimming pools in July, and this year a new association has been incorporated;

Asofem Lorca, in addition to the Puerto Lumbreras Adica Association as usual.
