Several councilors and members of the executive of the Puerto Lumbreras Psoe accompanied the residents of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras affected by the floods of 2012 in the concentration that took place on Sunday, September 29 on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the floods.
Yesterday, several socialist councilors of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, along with members of the executive, the mayor of Lorca, regional and national deputies of the PSOE and the general secretary of the PSRM-PSOE and spokesman for the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Diego Conesa, they accompanied neighbors and members of Pailorca "platform affected by the floods of 2012 in the concentration that took place to make visible that they have been waiting for solutions for 7 years.
The general secretary of the PSRM-PSOE and spokesman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Diego Conesa has highlighted his total and absolute commitment and that of the Government of Spain to provide a "root" solution to those affected by the floods that occurred in Lorca seven years.
He explained that during the last months the processing of the adjudication of the preliminary projects to the company is being developed in an accelerated way to be able to undertake it.
"It is an important work of prevention in which you have to act from the root of the problem, with that rolling dam. But they are slow procedures. I put myself in the place of the affected neighbors and I understand the anguish they may feel not to obtain a solution".
Diego Conesa has affirmed that in the Region of Murcia there are three areas in which, for justice, it is necessary to act on them: the area affected by the floods in Lorca, the Vega del Segura, in which it is necessary to work on its development and a comprehensive plan;
and Los Alcázares, which needs a joint action with Torre Pacheco.
"In those three lines it is in which we are going to work to give a solution, telling the truth, and demanding the commitment of all administrations," he concluded.
