The Lumbrerean Socialists show their concern about the difficult economic situation in which the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is located.
The impossibility of dealing with the payment of a large part of the services provided, or products supplied, by countless companies in the municipality and its surroundings, leads him to ask that nothing more be billed until January.
In December of last year, after the solo approval by the Popular Party of the municipal budgets for this year, the Socialist Municipal Group warned that the income that was reflected was not true, something that generated a budget impossible to meet as soon as to many of the expenses involved in it.
According to the Socialist Municipal Spokeswoman, María Rosa García, "we are going to work to solve the very serious liquidity situation in which the town hall is located. The businessmen and the self-employed who provide their services to the town hall should charge as soon as possible, but we cannot be participants in the innumerable irregularities that the Popular Party commits with its terrible management. "
The Municipal Socialist Group reminds the councilor of finance, Raquel Rodríguez, that the accounting standards are to comply with them.
From the Accrual Principle, which requires accounting for invoices at the same time of buying the products or receiving the service, up to the Principle of Prudence, which obliges us to be prudent in income estimates.
"We are not going to consent that the budgetary lack of control of the city council be loaded on the backs of the entrepreneurs, extending the payment terms on some occasions to more than one year."
