"Love me free" is the message chosen by the Department of Women of the City of Puerto Lumbreras to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
A date that is celebrated on November 25 and by which a broad agenda of activities has been developed.
This Sunday took place the public institutional act that began at 10.00 with a large concentration of people in the Plaza de la Constitución.
T-shirts and banners were distributed there to begin with the Solidarity March that ended at the House of Elves.
Once finished, a musical performance was carried out by the Lumbrerean artists María Andreo and Marcos Romera, and then the manifesto was read, and a minute of silence was kept.
Finally, Mass for the victims of gender-based violence was officiated in the parish church.
It should be noted that throughout the week, talks have been organized for the students of the IES Rambla de Nogalte on 'Healthy Relationships' by professionals from the CAVI of Puerto Lumbreras.
In addition, different workshops have been developed in the locality, such as those of laughter therapy, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga or reading animation.
On the other hand, tomorrow, Monday, November 25, various activities will take place at the IES Rambla de Nogalte from 10:00 am, with human tie and flash movie by the students of 3rd ESO, manifest reading by the 4th ESO and awards ceremony and completion of the mural with the winning drawing of the "Pro egalitarian relations" contest organized by the Puerto Lumbreras Women's Association.
And at 12:00 hours the reading of the manifesto will be carried out by the Fundación Secretariado Gitano and a minute of silence at the door of the Town Hall, which all citizens and staff of this administration are invited to attend, to commemorate the Day International against Gender Violence, showing the rejection and rejection of everyone in the face of these events.
