The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Angeles Tunisia, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, Juan Francisco Gómez, have formalized a collaboration agreement to boost the revitalization of the business fabric of the municipality.

The agreement has among its main objectives to join forces and complement the development of joint actions to boost the business sector of Puerto Lumbreras.

In this way, the City Council grants a grant of 3,000 euros for the performance of trade promotion activities and collaboration in the organization of fairs for the promotion of the economic activity of the municipality, such as "Showcase contest", "Illusion ride "," Shopping in kings "," Menus that fall in love "," Masterclass cuisine "," Wine pairing "," Tasting craft beer "," Creative tapas course "," Bread workshop ", or" Healthy breakfast for children and adults ".

In addition, another of the actions that will be carried out with this agreement is the collaboration with the Local Development Agency of the City of Puerto Lumbreras in the promotion of entrepreneurship, professionalization and new business opportunities, through dissemination efforts and information.

To do this, it will make available to the Chamber of Commerce an office in the Entrepreneurs Center on days stipulated in advance.

Dynamization actions will also be carried out with the participation of the citizens of Lumbrera to meet their needs and aspirations in this area.

The mayor of the town has stressed that "since 2011 we grant an annual subsidy to the Chamber of Commerce, which enhances the operation of the headquarters of Puerto Lumbreras, preventing citizens from having to move to Lorca, and interests are promoted of the merchants of the municipality. "

The Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras has as its purpose the representation and defense of the general interests of industry and commerce, as well as the provision of services to companies that carry out the indicated activities, and especially to establish information and business advice, collaborating where appropriate with the Public Administrations.
