The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has requested to the General Directorate of Water, under the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment of the regional government, the execution of minor works necessary to improve the sanitation network of the municipality, to what has addressed to this Directorate General three valued technical reports, relating to new sanitation collectors in Francisco Salzillo, Limoneros and Juan Carlos I Avenue
Puerto Lumbreras has sewage infrastructure with an average age of 30 years, which means that most of these are currently insufficient due to population growth and that they are in poor condition as a result of their use and being made of materials whose characteristics have become obsolete.
These works are proposed with the objective of being able to make the necessary investments in the area of ​​sanitation and with the aim of modernizing the facilities to reduce the effects of the development of the municipality, as well as eliminating problems for the residents of the C / Francisco Salzillo, Limoneros and Avda. Juan Carlos I, which have been produced in recent years, and those that the City Council is still working to solve.
Specifically, the works requested consist of the renovation of the sewerage network by increasing the sections of Francisco Salzillo Street, Limoneros Street and Juan Carlos I Avenue. The total budget for these actions amounts to 140,162.82 euros.
