The Councilor for Rural Development and Pedanías, Francisco Gázquez, and the First Deputy Mayor;
César Gázquez, have visited the works for which the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has provided the Municipal Cemetery of San Damián, located in the hamlet of El Esparragal, a funeral pavilion for a total of 90 niches and urbanization.
The expansion works of the cemetery began at the end of last October, with an execution period of 3 months and an investment of 32,000 euros, ending in recent days with painting and numbering work.
It is a new pavilion with a rectangular shape, and an area of ​​77'50 square meters.
The councilor responsible for the matter, Francisco Gázquez, explained that "with this measure we intend to continue the improvement plans that we have been developing in the municipal cemetery so that the facilities are in perfect condition throughout the year, and expand its capacity ".
