Puerto Lumbreras increased its population by more than 400 inhabitants last year (10/02/2020)

Monday, February 10, 2019. The municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has experienced a population growth of 2.74% between 2018 and 2019. The population in the municipality as of January 1, 2018 was 14,981 inhabitants and January 1, 2019 of 15,394, assuming an increase of 413 people, a 2.74% increase, according to figures published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), being one of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia that has recently experienced greater population growth.

By sex, 48'88 percent of the population are women and 51'12 percent are men, while by age, 16'62 percent are older than 65, 17'38 percent are under 16 years and 66 percent constitute the adult population.
