Yesterday, the Board of Directors of the Rural Development Association CAMPODER was held in Puerto Lumbreras, which manages the participatory rural development strategy "Campoder Territory: growing together" within the framework of the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia 2014-2020 , and of which the municipalities of Puerto Lumbreras, Cartagena, Águilas, Lorca, Totana, Murcia, Fuente Álamo and Mazarrón are part.
On the agenda, among other matters, changes in representation and admission of new partners were discussed, approval of the budget of expenses and revenues of Campoder for 2020, collaboration agreement for transnational cooperation in the project "transfer of knowledge and experiences for the rural development "or the XX Anniversary of this Association, among other matters.
Campoder is an association that works for rural development
The Association for Rural Development Campoder has been working since 2000 for the integral and sustainable development of the rural territory and does so jointly with all the socio-economic agents in the area and through a series of programs and projects.
Quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, dialogue and commitment to innovation, always focused on the rural environment, are some of the pillars under which this entity that works for integral, integrated, harmonic development is constituted, Sustained and endogenous of the rural environment.
For this, it carries out a series of actions that range from conservation, restoration of the physical and environmental environment, such as the exploitation of the resources of the region, the improvement of infrastructure and services, as well as the promotion of the autonomous entrepreneur and the agricultural and industrial development
In addition, Campoder tries to promote the identity of the scope of action defined in each of the projects, plans or programs of rural or local development promoted by the Association.
On the other hand, it enforces its interests before the different departments and agencies of the European Administration, of the State Administration, and before the regional and provincial administrations, as well as public and private institutions and entities.
Thanks to the work of CAMPODER, and the granting of LEADER grants within the rural development program of the Region of Murcia, 2014-2020, with support from EAFRD, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, and the Ministry of Water , Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Puerto Lumbreras will be able to carry out several projects during 2020 such as the improvement of the New Technologies Classroom for the reduction of the digital divide in rural districts, specifically in El Esparragal-La Estación, the improvement and conditioning of the Public Park of the Working Woman with biosaludables games and other equipment, as well as the adaptation of a municipal center currently without activity, to turn it into a day center for people with mental illness, being the first center with these characteristics in the municipality and being able to attend them, without need to travel to neighboring municipalities.
In total about 120,000 euros will be invested in these projects.
