Puerto Lumbreras celebrates a new edition of the gastronomic days from March 1 to 18 (28/02/2020)

The program includes master class of haute cuisine, craft beer tasting, creative tapas preparation course and bread making workshop, among other initiatives.

The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras;

María Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Local Development and Commerce;

Rocío Martínez, together with Juan Francisco Gómez, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, and Jenaro Pérez, president of the Confederation of Businessmen of Puerto Lumbreras (Aseplu), presented the conference this morning at La Casa de los Duendes gastronomic events that will take place from March 1 to 18 in the municipality, and in which hospitality establishments will offer their creations with typical ingredients of the area.

In this way, the gastronomic days will begin on Wednesday, March 4 with a master class of cutting and use of ham by Domingo Ponce of "Carnicería Hermanos Ponce" and Javier Sotomayor at the Hotel Riscal at 7:00 p.m.

At the end there will be a wine tasting of Bodegas Regino with the Sommelier Antonio Jesús García.

The conference also includes the workshop "fast and family dinners" on Thursday, March 5 at 6:00 p.m.

in "Eneko Cupboard", taught by chef Eneko Fernández.

Friday 6 at 8:00 p.m.

in the Ceilum, there will be a tasting of wines and cheeses from the Region by the winemaker Santos Sevilla and Cheeses "El Pipas".

On Tuesday, March 10, the "technical talks and culinary workshop of the salmon" will be held, a master class of haute cuisine that will take place at the Hotel Riscal from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On March 11 at 8:00 p.m.

At Ceilum, attendees can enjoy a tasting of "El Cantero" craft beer accompanied by sausages from the land, and on Thursday 12 there will be a tasting of "El Regino" wines and tapas with seasonal vegetables at 8:00 p.m. .

at Hotel Riscal.

Finally, on March 18 it will be the turn of the vermouth tastings and technical conferences, where you can learn about the methods of making this wine variety and taste it by the hand of Ángela Marulanda of "Vermut Marulanda".

The price ranges from 10 and € 15, with discounts of 5 euros for Aseplu members.

The mayor has encouraged locals and visitors to participate in these gastronomic events and stressed that "the hotel industry of Puerto Lumbreras shows its high gastronomic quality, using first class raw materials, combining tradition and innovation in each of its dishes and drinks ".
