From Friday 6 to Sunday, March 8, the first "Young Mission" in the municipality will be held in Puerto Lumbreras, with the aim of showing through the faith in Christianity the positive values â€‹â€‹of youth and their ability to bring good things to the world.
This mission is organized by the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
The program will begin on Friday night with the reception and accompaniment to the Escolanía of the El Pinar School of Our Lady of Sant Cugat del VallÃ¨s by the parish and the Municipal Government team at the Youth Hostel of the Cabezo de la Jara, where they will be staying all weekend.
The program will continue on Saturday, March 7 with an experience that will consist of spending a day with Kiko, a 20-year-old who has been in a wheelchair for 5 years.
The goal is for young people to learn to value and become aware of the gift that is life.
The tour will begin at the Agustín Tárraga Day Center, which collaborates with Ombrepedia Lumbreras in the transfer of 30 wheelchairs so that thirty young people can accompany Kiko in this experience and know first hand the obstacles that a person overcomes every day prevented.
At 6:00 p.m. you can enjoy a concert in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary by the Escolanía of the El Pinar School of Our Lady of Sant Cugat del VallÃ¨s.
This day at around 9.30pm.
the parish courtyard will also be enabled to celebrate a music festival with DJ Álex Gaona de Abanilla and a musical group from Lorca, among other artists.
In addition, there will be numerous testimonies of young people about various stories of overcoming.
After this, the young people will carry out "battles of roosters" led and presented by the lumbrerense Kevin Canales.
The last day will be Sunday, March 8, which will begin with a healthy breakfast starting at 9:30 am in the parish courtyard.
People from the world of sports in Puerto Lumbreras, Totana, Lorca or Murcia will be present as coaches, nutritionists and athletes, among others.
On the other hand, a series of physical Masterclass will be carried out, as well as a Masterclass of work of the interior life directed by the father Rafael Capo, missionary of the Pope Francisco and newcomer from Miami.
The program will end in the parish church with the Mass presided by Mr. Sebastián Chico Martínez, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena at 12:00 hours, sung by the Escolanía of the El Pinar School of Our Lady of Sant Cugat del VallÃ¨s and offered for the eternal rest of the 14-year-old María Martínez Haro.
