Once again, the Socialist Party tries to block the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, intentionally delaying the entry into force of the municipal budgets for the year 2020. The PSOE of Puerto Lumbreras submitted claims to the budgets for the year 2020, on the last day of term and at the last hour of last Friday, a new sample of the attempts of this political formation to paralyze Puerto Lumbreras.
Thanks to the agreement reached between the Popular Party and the United Left, on January 30 the plenary session of the City Council approved the municipal budgets for the year 2020, despite the vote against PSOE and VOX, and after the Government Team had the hand and hold meetings with the different political groups of the session, and listen to the different proposals.
But due to the partisan action of the PSOE, and against the interests of Puerto Lumbreras and its citizens, this political group means that the game for social services, which amounts to a total of 1,450,000 euros, cannot enter into force and where the local government counts on the collaboration of the Autonomous Community through the agreements of the Home Assistance Service by Unit, the Service of the Early Care Center, Center for people with disabilities, the Day Center for the elderly.
Nor can investments such as the Works and Services Plan, which amount to more than 280,000 euros for the improvement of the public roads of the municipality, in addition to the arrangement of the Cemetery and Abbots Road with a total investment of the regional government of 700,000 euros.
On the other hand, the PSOE will make it impossible to implement the salary improvements of 2.30 percent for the official and labor staff of the City Council, agreed with the union representatives in the town hall, among other improvements for the progress of Puerto Lumbreras and for the welfare of its citizens.
That is why sources from the municipal group of the PP request the PSOE, "to stop paralyzing the progress of our municipality. The Socialist Party is the party of the blockade, and despite the fact that the faces have changed, they continue to act in the same way as in previous legislatures. "
According to the same sources, "the Socialist Party had its opportunity and did not seize it" and ask for "institutional loyalty and to look for the interests of the 15,000 inhabitants of Puerto Lumbreras and not only for the interest of their party."
