The consistory will also attend to the fundamental needs of families in a confined or extraordinary situation
The Puerto Lumbreras City Council has launched an extraordinary home help service for the duration of the Alarm State and the confinement measures in the face of the health crisis caused by COVID-19.
It is aimed at older people in the municipality who live alone, do not have family supports, and do not receive the Basic Home Help Service or Dependency Assistance, and need to carry out procedures such as the acquisition of food and hygiene products, medicines or any supply intended to cover a basic need.
This help will be carried out by the company that usually carries out both the Basic and Dependency Home Help Service, which will be in charge of moving these vulnerable people home, and carry out these steps.
People who require it will request it by calling 652 90 22 88.
On the other hand, those families who are in a situation of confinement or extraordinary and cannot move, will be sent basic food products to their homes.
"These are measures that we take in an extraordinary situation, aimed mainly at the elderly, since they are the most vulnerable group of the population. We are making every effort to protect them, since we must heed the instructions of the health authorities and it is vital and a priority to stay at home to try to break the chain of infections, "says the mayor;
María Ángeles Tunisia.
