The Puerto Lumbreras City Council carries out a plan for disinfecting and adapting municipal offices before their next opening (07/05/2020)

| The municipal council has begun to prepare its facilities for the progressive incorporation of municipal employees, ensuring safety and health both workers and users | The Puerto Lumbreras City Council is reinforcing measures to prevent occupational risks to protect health and prevent contagion from employees and users. Specifically, this work is carried out in Technical Services, Intervention, Secretariat, Social Services, CAVI, General Registry and Justice of the Peace, whose opening is scheduled for Monday, May 11.

More specific information on opening hours and facilities will be offered in the coming days. In this sense, disinfection and cleaning are being carried out weekly at the environmental (airway) and surface level using the cold fogging technique, in the facilities of the Local Police, Civil Protection and the City Council, as well as in vehicles of these municipal services.

The same process will continue to be carried out in dependencies of the Social Services, Technical Office, Intervention and the rest of the municipal services, as well as gradually and depending on the de-escalation, it will be carried out in educational centers.

Disinfection is carried out using products authorized by the Ministry of Health and WHO, specific to COVID-19, with a sanitary registry and treatment certificate, and with maximum safety. "One of our highest priorities is to protect the health and avoid contagion from public employees and citizens in the most effective way possible," said the government team spokesperson; Raquel Rodríguez. Along these lines, Rodríguez recalled that, from the Municipal Government Team, a meeting has been held with City Council workers, and an external company in charge of evaluating occupational risks is preparing a report "to implement the necessary measures so that the facilities are opened in optimal health and hygiene conditions, always looking to protect the health of our workers and our neighbors.

" Tomorrow, Friday, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras; María Ángeles Tunisia, and the spokesperson for the Government Team, will meet with the UGT and CCOO union centers, as representatives of the workers of the Puerto Lumbreras City Council, to discuss the measures and protocols to follow. The progressive reincorporation in the work centers will be gradual and taking into account the needs of the service, Likewise, and with the aim of offering the maximum guarantees in the protection of the health of public employees and citizens, since the state of alarm began, the City Council has been acquiring face masks, face shields and protective equipment for different groups in Puerto Lumbreras, and hydroalcoholic gel, paper, and other hygiene and prevention utensils of COVID-19 have been disposed of. In this sense, Raquel Rodríguez has also wanted to highlight "the enormous generosity" of many local companies that during this time have donated protection material for municipal services such as the Local Police or Civil Protection.
