to avoid odors and discomforts | The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is carrying out the summer campaign for cleaning and disinfecting container batteries to minimize odors and other possible risks.
Mainly these tasks are carried out in urban solid waste containers (MSW), where organic waste is deposited.
The procedure is carried out with pressurized water, using disinfectant and detergent products.
The town has around 200 container batteries throughout the municipality, including its districts. "These are important tasks to minimize inconvenience to the neighbors.
In this sense, we ask for collaboration and citizen involvement so that Puerto Lumbreras is an increasingly clean municipality.
It is vitally important that organic waste be deposited on these dates from 9:00 p.m.
The reason for setting this schedule has two objectives: on the one hand because the garbage is collected by the cleaning services at night, and on the other because the temperature is lower at night and problems are avoided of bad smells ", has indicated César Gázquez, councilor of Municipal Works and Services. On the other hand, the councilor has recalled the obligation to always throw the garbage in a closed bag and inside the container and not in the surroundings, as well as not leaving items on public roads.
