| These works complement the clearing and cleaning tasks being carried out by the consistory and the Autonomous Community | The Puerto Lumbreras City Council has approved a plan to patch rural streets and roads in the urban nucleus of the municipality and the hamlet of El Esparragal-La Estación, in order to repair the deficiencies generated in the asphalt and improve road safety.
In this way, the arrangements will be carried out on a surface area greater than 600 square meters. Some tasks that come to complement the campaign being carried out by the municipality of Lumbrere, consisting of clearing and cleaning the margins of rural roads owned by the municipality.
Works that the General Directorate of Roads of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia is also carrying out in the process of competition.
The Councilor for Municipal Works and Services, César Gázquez, explained that "the repair of the road is necessary because with the transit of vehicles some subsidence is caused on certain roads.
The extreme temperatures of these dates and the excessive road traffic cause a deterioration in the pavement that requires constant maintenance ". The actions will focus on "patching" with shotcrete of the roads and streets that are damaged.
These actions have a budget of more than 6,000 euros, in charge of the Puerto Lumbreras City Council
