| A contingency plan is followed, and the City Council carries out the signage, posters, maintenance work and adaptation of spaces to the new health situation, in addition to reinforcing disinfection and daily cleaning | The Municipal Infant Schools of Puerto Lumbreras reopened their doors yesterday, in a staggered manner and with a contingency plan adapted to the health situation in the face of COVID-19.

Almost a hundred male and female students have returned to the classrooms, taking place an opening based on the need, first of all in the centers of La Estación-Esparragal and Ana María Sánchez.

As there are more enrollments and depending on the demand for the service, the rest of the nursery schools will be opened.

Regarding the ratio, the regulations set by the Ministry of Education are followed, of a maximum of 8 students per classroom from 0 to 1 years, 13 students from 1 to 2 years and 20 from 2 to 3 years. "A contingency plan has been drawn up to avoid possible infections, which includes measures such as the staggered entry of children to avoid crowds, taking temperature, for which the City Council has acquired thermometers for each center, changing shoes before enter the classroom, division of the patio area so that students from different coexistence groups do not mix, or the exclusive use of the dining room for those from 2 to 3 years old, while the rest of the levels will eat in the classrooms ", he pointed out the councilor responsible for the matter; Tońi Navarro. The Puerto Lumbreras City Council has installed the corresponding signage and posters in the four municipal nursery schools to comply with the obligations of social distance as well as the different prevention measures to follow.

In addition, maintenance work and adaptation of the spaces to the new health situation have been carried out, and more accesses have been enabled in each center to avoid crowds and facilitate entry with staggered schedules. The workers of the Nursery Schools have carried out a training course in risk prevention against COVID-19 through the Center for Teachers and Resources of the Region of Murcia, and last Monday they followed the relevant medical examinations and serological tests, with satisfactory results in all cases. "The disinfection of spaces and materials has been intensified and taken care of, with daily reinforcement in material and human means.

An assistant receives the students at the entrance and does the same procedure to deliver them to the families.

He takes the temperature at the entrance and supervises that students apply hydroalcoholic gel when entering and leaving.

In the classrooms, frequent hand washing with soap and water is carried out.

We have put all the safety measures in our hands to guarantee the health and well-being of children and workers, as well as the development of the activity ", highlighted Tońi Navarro. On the other hand, the Morning Classroom service will continue to be provided in all the nurseries of the Municipal Network, to favor the conciliation of the families of the town.
