These thermographic columns measure and warn of a possible infection in case someone has a temperature above 37.5 degrees. This initiative has been possible thanks to the COVID-19 solidarity campaign that ASEPLU has been carrying out since the beginning of the pandemic with the collaboration of the City Council, and thanks to the donation of companies and individuals.

This initiative is another achievement of an ASEPLU campaign, which, through a multitude of altruistic donations from both companies and individuals, has also managed since the beginning of the pandemic to raise funds to buy food for the neediest families and material sanitary for the Rafael Méndez Hospital and the Puerto Lumbreras Health Center; including a BiPap respirator, 4 infrared thermometers, and 1 portable blood oxygen saturation kit.

Some campaigns that have also had the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, Cáritas and the Red Cross.
