The City Council pays the extraordinary COVID-19 aid to families, businesses, freelancers and Lumbrerenses companies (12/11/2020)

These grants come from the municipal fund endowed with 135,500 euros, with which we help the economic burden of families and businesses that had to close during the State of Alarm does not get worse, while we help to maintain employment and the social and economic reactivation of our municipality, "says the councilor for Finance; Raquel Rodríguez.After the launch of the call for municipal aid, a total of 162 applications for aid were submitted by the self-employed and SMEs of the municipality.

Once they were received, the documentation provided was reviewed, and the City Council made various requests to the applicants, notifying them both in writing and by telephone.In the call, 7 types of aid were established.

Among them, the subsidy for the amount of a quarter of the public road occupancy rate per weekly market, the annual amount of the public road occupancy rate of tables and chairs during 2020, and a quarter of water and garbage bills for all economic activity closed during state of alarm.

Also the subsidy of the IBI for an amount proportional to the closing period during the state of alarm for the properties destined to an economic activity and that maintain 75% of their staff, the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) for the amount of one 25% on the municipal quota for those companies closed during the state of alarm and maintaining 75% of their staff.In addition, aid destined for the owners of a business or company under the rental regime of premises intended for an economic activity and that remain in activity for at least 6 months from the end of the state of alarm are reflected, for a maximum amount of € 150 / premises, as well as subsidies for compensation of business premises closed during the state of alarm located in the municipal business incubator.
