[The City Council doubles the human and material resources for tracking and monitoring COVID-19 cases in Puerto Lumbreras (22/01/2021)

| 3 new trackers are incorporated into the service and new computer systems and telephones have been acquired | The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras; María Ángeles Túnez, and the Councilor for Health; Juan Rubén Burrueco, this morning visited the Center for Tracking and Monitoring of People Affected by COVID-19 (CECOVID 33) in Puerto Lumbreras, launched at the beginning of last November, for the detection, control and monitoring of positives by COVID-19 and close contacts.

A task that is being carried out by the Municipal Emergency Service - Civil Protection of the municipality, in perfect coordination with the Puerto Lumbreras Health Center.

In this sense, Tunisia has announced that "given the worrying increase in the number of positives in the municipality and the general deterioration of the health situation in the Region of Murcia and in Spain in this third wave of the pandemic, we have strengthened the service by acquiring new computer systems and telephones, and doubling the number of troops, going from 3 to 6, to help stop the line of infections as soon as possible.Thanks to CECOVID, a faster and more efficient action is achieved, since the contacts of positive cases placed in quarantine in the shortest time possible and the corresponding test is processed ".

The Technical Commission for monitoring the health situation due to the virus in Puerto Lumbreras, made up of the mayor, the Councilor for Health, representatives of Public Health, Murcian Health Service, Health Center and the Municipal Emergency Service - Civil Protection, is permanently contact and coordination for decision-making and effective management of the evolution of the pandemic in the locality.

In addition, from the Social Services of the City Council, and in coordination with the Puerto Lumbreras Health Center, an extraordinary service of purchase and delivery at home of food, basic necessities and medication is provided, aimed at those people who cannot move because they are in isolation due to the virus, and that they live alone and do not have close family or neighborhood support.

The mayor recalled that "it is vital that we comply with all the restrictions and prevention measures established by the health authorities, and that we limit contacts and outings to the maximum.

In case of having symptoms compatible with COVID-19, or having been in contact with any positive, you have to stay home and contact your GP or call 900 12 12 12.

If you are waiting for both the performance of the test or its result, be it positive or negative, you should stay isolated, and keep the corresponding quarantine as indicated by doctors if it is positive or in close contact.

From the City Council we continue working with all our means, reinforcing police surveillance and disinfection in our streets and districts, and raising awareness of this serious situation,since it is in our power to save lives ".
