The project 'Education for Diversity' favors the educational integration of immigrant children through workshops, training courses and leisure activities.
Over 20 students from schools in the county have participated for 9 months on the project.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has launched the Programme for 9 months' Education for Diversity "which offers educational support to immigrant children enrolled in the municipality.
The program promotes attitudes of solidarity, tolerance and respect for different cultures, and serves to integrate immigrant children into the educational environment.
Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Education and Culture, Isabel García, have closed the Education for Diversity project this school year by holding an education day with the students.
"From the city of Puerto Lumbreras develop different activities that promote attitudes of solidarity and respect for population groups with cultural, educational and social," said the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia.
In addition, Tunisia has added that "the objective of this project is to strengthen the work of school children between 7 and 16 years in the classroom through the implementation of a service and educational support external reinforcement."
The project 'Education for Diversity' has included year-round academic support workshops, introductory courses in computer science and the celebration of the days of living 'Between Cultures', which developed different cultural and sports activities aimed at the most 20, young immigrants who have participated in the project.
In this sense, the Councillor for Education and Culture, Isabel García, pointed out that "today has become a must start support workshops and educational support to help children in the process of social adaptation. Through training initiatives included in Education for Diversity, children not only learn to speak Spanish, but provide them necessary tools and resources for learning and strengthening of educational disciplines. "
