More than 300 citizens have sworn to flag a journey that has also had a parade ground and air of the General Air Academy San Javier.
Puerto Lumbreras has welcomed this morning the first Jura Civil Flag of the General Air Academy San Javier, with which the municipality has begun to institutional events to commemorate the 52 th anniversary of municipal independence held on 7 July.
About 4,000 people have gathered on the spot who chaired the local mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and Colonel General Director of the Air Academy San Javier, Juan Antonio Ortega Vázquez.
The event, jointly organized by the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and General Air Academy San Javier, has sworn to the flag of Spain to more than 300 men and women who once could not perform military service and also those who did and wanted to endorse their commitment to the Spanish flag.
The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, expressed his satisfaction at the success of this first Civil Flag Jura held in Puerto Lumbreras, and explained that "this massive event the municipality begins a July full of activities lumbrerenses which all celebrate the 52 anniversary of municipal independence. "
Thus, the day began with the religious and the hoisting of the flag, and then developed the act of Jura Civil Flag entertained by the Band of the General Air Academy San Javier.
After the Pledge of flag more than 300 citizens, has started the parade ground of the cadets of the General Air Academy San Javier and the air show with aircraft E-25 and E-26, and in which also involved the Eagle Patrol.
Finally, the day concluded with a tribute to the fallen in the Region of Murcia Avenue in the town where all instruments have been developed.
In addition to the Mayor and Colonel General Director of the Air Academy San Javier, have attended various authorities such as the Regional Representative, Anne-Marie Aquilino, Senator Pedro José Pérez or the delegate of the Government, Rafael González Tovar.
Independence Day
The July 7 Puerto Lumbreras officially commemorated the 52nd anniversary of independence municipal institutional event in which the municipality will grant awards to institutions and citizens to recognize their work and commitment to the locality.
In this 2010 edition, the General Air Academy San Javier will also be present to receive the Medal of Merit by the City.
According to the mayor, "With this award we want to acknowledge the work of the Academy and its ongoing collaboration with the municipality and the deployment of technical and human resources to perform in Puerto Lumbreras in such moving events as the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary in 2008 or Flag this first Civil Jura. "
