The Department of Equality and women's associations in the municipality have organized a day of living in programming "March, month of women".
Throughout the morning there have been various activities such as hiking, poetry reading, comedy show and salsa master class.
New this year women have risen to Cabezo de la Jara bike.
In addition, it has also enabled a shuttle bus to go to the Hostel Cabezo de la Jara.
More than 240 women from Puerto Lumbreras participated this morning in a day of living organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Puerto Lumbreras, on the occasion of the celebration of Women's History Month.
The activity has been attended by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Sonia Lopez.
Specifically, the day began at 09.00h with the rise cycle to Youth Hostel Cabezo de la Jara and 10.00h has been made breakfast for attendees.
After breakfast, women have had the option of a hiking trail by the astronomical path of Cabezo de la Jara, visit the Astronomical Observatory or attend a poetry reading by the poet lumbrerense Carmen Martinez.
Similarly, mid-morning, it was held a conference "The power of women", given by coach Juan Cayuela, and a fun comedy show by Carlos Luna.
The conference was also attended sauce a master class led by Professor José Vera Morales and a dance enlivened by the Duetto Duo.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, stressed that "a year has organized the traditional meeting of women in the Cabezo de la Jara, which each year acquires greater relevance and prominence with different leisure activities and free time" .
Besides the Mayor recalled that "throughout the month of March more than fifty cultural, sports and leisure initiatives will be held to celebrate Women's History Month in Puerto lights".
