The Department of Public Safety of the City of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Department of New Technologies, has set up access to files INTPOL-SIGO for local police.
From now on, the local police of the municipality can access this database of the Civil Guard.
In the offices of the local police it installed a system directly connected to the headquarters of the Civil Guard, which allows agents to access the base INTPOL-SIGO data, being able to know whether a suspect has a criminal record, requisitorias or if you are in search and seizure at any point in the country.
The Councillor for Citizen Security, Dolores Arenas, explained that "with this new communication system we increase and improve security levels lumbrerenses".
In addition, Arenas added that "this has been possible thanks to an agreement signed between the Interior Ministry and the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras in order to ensure public safety in the city".
The agreement includes a protocol assistance from the Civil Guard in the field of information technology.
This agreement establishes systems to improve coordination and exchange of information, access to databases and communication systems between the two bodies in the field of public safety, which will result in better service to citizens.
Finally, Dolores Arenas said "this new system allows local police to act more quickly and effectively, facilitates the exchange of information and improve public safety."
