Family has increased by 50 percent the budget to combat violence against women in Puerto Lumbreras (01/09/2016)

The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Thomas, along with the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, visited centers reconciling work and family life of the municipality, located in the preschools Ana Maria Sanchez and the station -The Esparragal.

On the actions carried out by the Directorate General of Women in the municipality, the Minister explained that in the budgets of the Community for 2016 has increased by 50 percent over the previous year's allocation for the Point of Care (PAE ) against gender violence, reaching 13,859 euros.

SAPs are services created by the Directorate General of Women, in collaboration with the municipalities, where individual and group for women victims of abuse treatment is offered.

This service provided last year in Puerto Lumbreras a total of 119 psychological care, a total of 18 women.
