The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras employs 8 people unemployed across the County Councils (02/09/2016)

The State Employment Public Service has awarded a grant of 47,287.68 euros to the City of Puerto Lumbreras 8 for hiring workers.

They will perform works of improvement in the Garden San Rafael and Avenida Salvador Caballero García.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has hired 8 people unemployed through the program to promote rural employment "District Councils".

Thus, the State Employment Public Service has awarded a grant of 47,287.68 euros to the City of Puerto Lumbreras for hiring workers who will perform 8 improvement works in the garden San Rafael and Avenida Salvador Caballero García.

In addition, they carry out work painting street furniture and vertical road signs in public spaces and roads of the town.

Work is expected to have a duration of three months.

Employment Councilwoman Angela Morillas, explained that "the purpose of this program is to create jobs, encourage employment in rural areas and hire unemployed agricultural sector for works of social and general interest."

This type of aid funds come from the Ministry of Employment and Social Security through the Public State Employment Service (SEPE), channeled through the Employment District Councils.

People who participate in this program must meet a number of requirements as being registered in the municipality for requesting their participation or have paid contributions as an employed person a minimum of 540 days in the Special Agricultural Scheme of the Social Security (REA) and / or the Special System for Employees Agrarian (SETCAA) of the Social Security.

In addition, the beneficiaries of this program should find in any of the following situations: a) be registered as an employed person in the SETCAA;

b) have contributed at least one day in the SETCAA since 1 January this year;

or c) be involved as active worker in one of the works included in the resolution of the previous year program promoting rural employment "Employment District Councils.
