Puerto Lumbreras Clinic has donated a defibrillator to City Hall apparatus for emergency care in cases of cardiac arrest.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Public Safety, has designed a new Special Emergency Plan for the Festivities to be held from 5 to 9 October in the municipality.
The mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Citizen Security, Dolores Arenas, presented this morning the plan at a press conference.
The presentation was also attended by the head of the local police in Puerto Lumbreras, Gabriel Abellan, the coordinator of Civil Protection of the municipality, Juan Francisco Valera and a representative of Puerto Lumbreras Clinic.
During the presentation, the Mayor explained the technical and professional deployment of this new plan designed "to promote the proper development of the festivity, avoid incidents and expedite emergency actions".
Groups that are part of this plan, employees of the Department of Public Safety, in coordination with various government and private companies, are composed of Local Police, Civil Guard Service emergencies-Civil Protection, Private Security, sanitation and fire .

With this special device we increased notably public safety in the municipality and also guarantee an adequate development of all festive activities. "
Notably, within the fairgrounds, a communication channel will be installed with the Centre for Local Operations Coordination (CECOPAL) addressed both by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, as the Councillor for Citizen Security, Dolores Arenas.
Both coordinate this plan consists of more than 100 people.
Thus, the CECOPAL integrate all communications staff involved in the Emergency Plan, including its position to respond to possible situations contemplated.
For the second consecutive year health care service will be enabled during the parade of floats composed of a nurse and a medical technician, who will travel on a bicycle equipped with medical supplies.
In addition, there will be a medicalized ambulance.
Tunisia explained that "in case any incident occurs, this service improve citizen security and provides a faster response action, and that health workers have greater mobility for the parade route."
Also, all-day fair will enable a field hospital that will be installed at the beginning of the trade fair.
Thus, the plan will be activated in the hours before the start of ignition and start of the holidays, with the activation of it at 16:00 of October 5 and being turned off at 08.00h on Monday 10 October.
Finally, note that, during the presentation, a representative of Puerto Lumbreras Clinic has donated a defibrillator to City Hall apparatus for emergency care in cases of cardiac arrest.
Specifically, the device will be integrated into one of the emergency service vehicles Civil Protection Puerto Lumbreras.
